About Me

Hi! My name is Julie McIntosh (Brown), and I am an alumna of the Zeta Sigma chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. I pledged Kappa in 1992. I graduated UNT with a degree in Elementary Education and taught school in the Plano ISD before staying at home to raise a family.

Hey! There I am! I’m the big-haired blonde in the center of the middle row.

I live in a small town outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan and absolutely love everything about my life as a wife, mother, homemaker, volunteer, friend, horse owner, and collector of Kappa Kappa Gamma history. When I’m not spending time with the love of my life, my husband, Glen, or our two fantastic kids… I am probably at the barn with my horse, Blaze, or hanging out with friends. I love shopping, buying vintage jewelry and clothing, doing Red Effect workouts and adult ballet, cooking, and about a million other things.

With my wonderful husband at the Kentucky Derby in 2019.

For those of you who know my love for my horse, I am brokenhearted to report that I lost Blaze to irreversible brain damage from EPM on October 8, 2019. We fought it hard, but it just wasn’t enough. RIP Blazey Boy. Mommy misses you.

Thank you for visiting my little blog, and I hope you found it interesting! Feel free to drop a comment, question, suggestion, or just tell me your favorite item in the collection! Thanks again, and come back again soon!
