The Badge of Isabel Carey Warne, 1929
Isabel Warne was initiated into the Beta Psi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Toronto on January 28, 1929.

Isabel was born on September 7, 1908 in Carelton, Ontario, Canada. She attended the University of Toronto, where she was likely a journalism major. A graduating year fellowship (the Isabel Warne Fellowship) is awarded at University College each year to encourage and support seniors in pursuing graduate studies. She never married and had no children. Isabel passed away on October 4, 2000 at the age of 92.

Isabel’s mother, Alberta, was married to Arthur Allin until he passed at the age of 34 in 1903. Alberta married Isabel’s father, James Facey Warne, in October 1907. Both Alberta and Isabel are buried in the plot of Alberta’s first husband, Arthur Allin. In spite of Isabel not being Arthur Allin’s daughter, the headstone reads “Their Daughter”.
